John: You're gonna vote tomorrow, right?
Minsoo: Yes. This election is to select office-holders in local government. I will definitely vote. First thing in the morning!
John: This local election is to select mayors and councilors, right?
Minsoo: Yes, governors and ward chiefs, too.


John: 내일 투표할거지?
Minsoo: 응. 지방 정부의 공무원을 뽑는 거니까. 일어나자마자 투표할거야!
John: 이 지방선거라는 것이 시장과 의원을 뽑는 거지?
Minsoo: 응. 도지사와 구청장도.



위 대화에 'First thing in the morning'이라는 표현이 나오는데요, '아침에 일어나서 다른 어떤 일보다 가장먼저' 라는 의미입니다.
I will call you first thing in the morning. (일어나자마자 너에게 전화할게.)
I will email Tom first thing in the morning. (일어나자마자 Tom에게 이메일 보낼게요.)
