Jessica: Can you go with us tomorrow?
Yumi: I can't. My mother-in-law is coming to our house for dinner tomorrow.
Jessica: Oh, I see. Is she coming alone?
Yumi: I think my sister-in-law is coming, too.


Jessica: 내일 우리랑 함께 갈 수 있어?
Yumi: 못 가. 우리 시어머니 내일 우리 집에 오셔서 저녁 드시거든.
Jessica: 아, 그렇구나. 혼자 오신대?
Yumi: 아마 시누이도 함께 올 것 같아.



Mother-in-law. 참 흥미로운 단어인 듯 하네요~ 직역하면 '법적으로 엄마' '법으로 연결된 엄마' ^^

Mother-in-law: 시어머니, 장모님
Father-in-law: 시아버지, 장인어른
Brother-in-law: 시아주버니, 시동생, 처남, 동서
Sister-in-law: 형수, 시누이, 올케, 처제, 처형, 동서
