Mike: My wife is quite sensitive about what our children eat.
Julia: Isn't that a good thing?
Mike: Besides the fact that these organic vegetables and fruits cost twice as much, I guess it's a good thing.
Julia: What's the definition of 'organic' anyway?


Mike: 내 와이프는 우리 애들이 뭘 먹는지에 되게 민감해요.
Julia: 좋은 거 아닌가요?
Mike: 유기농 채소와 과일이 두 배쯤 비싸다는 것 이외에는 좋은 걸 수도 있겠네요.
Julia: 근데 '유기농'의 정의가 뭐에요?


'Besides the fact that ~'는, '~라는 사실을 제외하고는' 이라는 의미입니다.

Ex) Besides the fact that David is late all the time, he's a responsible person.
(항상 지각을 한다는 것 이외에는, David은 책임감 있는 사람이에요.)

Ex) Besides the fact that she likes to stay home and I like to go out, we have many things in common. (그녀는 집에 있는 것을 좋아하고 저는 외출하는 것을 좋아한다는 것 말고는 우리는 공통점이 많아요.)
