[제이정’s 이슈 영어 회화] Buying Tickets (티켓 구매하기)


Mike: Hey Tracy, did you buy your tickets for the basketball game coming up this Friday? I heard they’re selling out fast.

Tracy: I haven’t bought my ticket yet. I’m going to buy it later today. They’re selling tickets at the student center, right?

Mike: Yup! It’s on the third floor of this building. Oh, and don’t forget to bring your student ID for a 20% discount.

Tracy: I won’t forget. Thanks for the reminder!


Mike : Tracy, 이번 주 금요일 농구 경기 표 샀어? 내가 듣기로 그거 빨리 팔린대.
Tracy : 아직 안 샀어. 있다가 사려고 해. 학생센터에서 파는 거 맞지?

Mike : 응! 이 건물 3층이야. 그리고 20프로 할인 받아야 하니까 학생증 가져가는 것 잊지마.
Tracy : 안 잊을게. 상기시켜줘서 고마워!


티켓 구매관련 대화 시, "The tickets are selling out fast" ("티켓이 빠른 속도로 판매되고 있대") 혹은 "The tickets are going to be sold out soon."
("티켓이 곧 매진된대.")는 자주 쓰는 표현 이니 연습해보세요.

‘~~를 아직 사지 못했다’ 라는 말을 할 때, “I didn't buy~~' 라고 하기보다는 ‘I haven't bought~~yet ' 이라는 표현이 더 어울린답니다.
