[제이정’s 이슈 영어 회화] Department store sales (백화점 세일)

Christina: Nice wallet, Judy!
Judy: Thanks^^ This was 50 percent off at the department store.
Christina: 50 percent? Wow!
Judy: They're having huge sales on bags and wallets this week.


Christina: 지갑 예쁘다 Judy!
Judy: 고마워^^ 백화점에서 50프로 할인이었어.
Christina: 50프로? 와우!
Judy: 거기가 이번 주에 가방이랑 지갑 엄청 세일하더라고.



'30프로 할인', '50프로 할인' 이라 말할 때 '30 percent off', '50 percent off' 라고 합니다.

특정 물건이나 서비스의 가격을 세일할 때에서 'sales ON 무엇' 이라 하는데요, "We have amazing sales ON all items." (저희는 모든 제품을 파격 할인 중입니다.)

혹은 '무엇 is / are ON sale'이라는 표현을 사용할 수도 있겠습니다. "Are your electronic devices ON sale, too? (전자제품도 세일중인가요?)
