Samsung's Home Appliances Top U.S. Consumer Satisfaction Survey

Samsung Electronics Co., Asia's largest mobile phone and memory chipmaker, ranked the highest in this year's U.S. customer satisfaction study for washing machines, dryers and refrigerators, the company said Thursday.

Samsung's refrigerators topped the annual customer satisfaction survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates for the six straight year, Samsung Electronics said in a statement.

The company's washers received the most favorable review from U.S. consumers for the second year in a row, while dryers took the top ranking for three years straight, the company added.

For each product category, J.D. Power and Associates, a global marketing information services firm based in the U.S., surveyed some 4,500 to 5,000 consumers who purchased an appliance, asking them to score the product based on six factors -- performance and reliability, operational features, ease of use, styling and feel, price and warranty.
